Key takeaways

  1. Table games include blackjack, roulette, baccarat, casino poker and Sic Bo.
  2. House edges range from about 0.5% in blackjack to 2.7% in European roulette.
  3. In Sic Bo, Small covers totals of 4 to 10 and Big covers 11 to 17.
  4. Live tables are slower than RNG ones, but the rules and edge are the same.

What you get in every game

  • Low house edge

Blackjack and the Banker bet in baccarat both sit near 1% or below, some of the best odds in a casino.

  • Dealt on camera

Live tables stream a dealer at a real table, so you watch every card, spin and roll.

  • Payouts in the rules panel

Every game lists its payouts and limits, so you can check the edge before you place a chip.

  • Made for phones

Table games run in the mobile browser on Android and iPhone, as well as on desktop.

Six table games, explained

Roulette, baccarat and Sic Bo need no decisions after you bet. Blackjack and the poker games reward a little study. Tap a game to jump to its rules.

  • 01Medium

    Blackjack

Beat the dealer to 21 without going over

You decide to hit, stand, double or split on every hand, so your choices change the result.

Basic strategy brings the house edge down to around 0.5%.

  • 02Slow

    Roulette

    European, French and American wheels

Bet on a number, a group of numbers, a colour, odd or even, and watch the ball settle.

Pick a single-zero wheel. The American double zero nearly doubles the edge.

  • 03Medium

    Baccarat

Player, Banker or Tie, closest to 9 wins

The dealer draws by fixed rules, so you make one choice and the cards do the rest.

Banker carries the lowest edge of the three main bets, even after commission.

  • 04Medium

    Casino Hold'em

    Texas Hold'em against the dealer

Two cards to you, five shared cards on the board, and one decision: call or fold.

Calling with most hands is right. Folding too often costs more than the odd bad call.

  • 05Fast

    Three Card Poker

Your three cards against the dealer's

Ante, look at your hand, then play or fold. A Pair Plus side bet pays on your cards alone.

Play any hand of queen-six-four or better and fold the rest.

  • 06Fast

    Sic Bo

Three dice, bet on totals and combinations

Small and Big are near-even bets. Specific numbers, pairs and triples pay more and land less.

Small and Big have the lowest edge on the layout, at 2.78%.

01

How do you play blackjack?

You and the dealer each start with two cards, and you try to finish closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Number cards count face value, picture cards count 10 and aces count 1 or 11. You can hit, stand, double down or split pairs. A two-card 21 is a blackjack and usually pays 3:2.

Check the blackjack payout before you sit down. A table that pays 6:5 instead of 3:2 adds more than 1% to the house edge, which wipes out most of what basic strategy saves you.

  • Always split aces and eights
  • Never split tens or fives
  • Stand on hard 17 or more
  • Skip insurance, it is a side bet with a high edge
02

How does roulette work?

The dealer spins a ball around a numbered wheel and you bet on where it lands: one number, a group of numbers, a colour, odd or even, or high or low. European and French wheels have 37 pockets with a single zero. American wheels add a double zero, which almost doubles the house edge.

French roulette adds La Partage. If the ball lands on zero, you get half of any even-money bet back, which cuts the edge on those bets to 1.35%. The chances below are for a single-zero wheel.

  1. Red or black

    48.6%

Pays 1:1. Odd or even and 1-18 or 19-36 work the same way

  2. Dozen or column

    32.4%

    Twelve numbers, pays 2:1

  3. Six line

    16.2%

Two rows of three, pays 5:1

  4. Corner

    10.8%

Four numbers in a square, pays 8:1

  5. Street

    8.1%

One row of three, pays 11:1

  6. Split

    5.4%

    Two neighbouring numbers, pays 17:1

  7. Straight up

    2.7%

    A single number, pays 35:1

03

How do you play baccarat?

Baccarat deals two hands, Player and Banker, and you bet on which finishes closer to 9, or on a Tie. Cards two to nine count face value, tens and picture cards count zero and aces count one. Only the last digit of a total counts, so 7 plus 8 makes 5. The dealer draws third cards by fixed rules.

Banker wins slightly more often, so a winning Banker bet usually pays 0.95 to 1 after a 5% commission. The Tie pays 8 to 1 and carries an edge of about 14%.

04

How does Casino Hold'em work?

Casino Hold'em is Texas Hold'em played against the dealer. You place an Ante, get two cards and see three community cards. Then you fold or Call for double the Ante. Two more cards follow and your best five-card hand is compared with the dealer's. The dealer needs a pair of fours or better to qualify.

If the dealer does not qualify, your Ante pays by the paytable and the Call is returned. Folding loses the Ante, so most players call with any pair, any draw and most high cards.

05

How do you play Three Card Poker?

You play a three-card hand against the dealer. Place an Ante, look at your cards, then fold or make a Play bet equal to the Ante. The dealer needs queen high or better to qualify. A separate Pair Plus bet pays on your own hand alone, whatever the dealer holds.

The order at the top differs from Teen Patti. In Three Card Poker a straight flush beats three of a kind, while Teen Patti puts the trail first. The chance of each hand is the same in both games.

06

How do you play Sic Bo?

Sic Bo uses three dice shaken in a closed shaker. The simplest bets are Small, a total of 4 to 10, and Big, a total of 11 to 17. Both lose if all three dice match. You can also bet on a single number, a total, a pair or a specific triple, and rarer results pay more.

Small and Big carry a house edge of 2.78%. A specific triple often pays 150:1 or more, but it lands once in 216 rolls.

07

Should you play live or RNG table games?

RNG tables use software to deal and spin, so rounds are instant and limits often start lower. Live tables use a real dealer on camera, which is slower but lets you watch every card and spin. The rules and house edge are usually the same, so pick the pace you prefer.

Table Games: your questions answered

Short answers to what new players ask us most.

Still unsure? Ask the Wazir Win team

What are casino table games?

Table games are casino games played on a layout with a dealer, such as blackjack, roulette, baccarat, casino poker and Sic Bo. Online they come as live tables with a real dealer or as RNG versions run by software.

Which table game has the best odds?

Blackjack played with basic strategy has the lowest house edge, around 0.5%. Baccarat's Banker bet is next at about 1.06%, followed by even-money bets in French roulette at 1.35%.

What is the difference between European and American roulette?

European roulette has 37 pockets with one zero and a 2.70% house edge. American roulette adds a double zero, making 38 pockets and a 5.26% edge on most bets.

Should I take insurance in blackjack?

No. Insurance is a side bet that the dealer has blackjack, and with standard multi-deck shoes it carries a house edge of about 7%.

Why is there a commission on the Banker bet in baccarat?

Banker wins slightly more often than Player because of the drawing rules. The 5% commission on Banker wins evens that out, and Banker still has the lower edge.

Can you count cards in live blackjack?

It gives very little edge online. Live blackjack uses multi-deck shoes that are reshuffled well before the end, and RNG blackjack shuffles before every hand.

What is the minimum bet at a table game?

Each table shows its minimum and maximum stake in the rules panel. Limits differ between games, so pick a table where the minimum fits your session budget.

Can I play table games on my phone?

Yes. Table games run in the mobile browser on Android and iPhone, as well as on desktop.
